What lands on our desk

Everything that can be done in writing or in a portal. PriorDesk handles the written side of prior authorization for orthopedic, spine, and pain practices, performed inside your existing systems by US-based authorization specialists.

Eight things we do for every request

  1. Documentation preparation

Documentation pulled from your EHR and organized to the payer's published criteria before anything is submitted.

  2. Missing documentation flagged

Missing documentation flagged to your team in writing, so nothing goes in incomplete.

  3. Portal submission

Requests completed from the existing clinical record and submitted through Availity, Carelon, eviCore, payer portals, or fax, as your practice authorizes.

  4. Status tracking

Status tracked in the portals and updated in your own system.

  5. Requests for additional information

Requests for additional information answered from the record.

  6. Denials organized

Denials organized: the payer's stated reason, the deadline, the evidence gap, and the recommended path, in writing.

  7. Written appeal support

Written appeal support: the denial reason, supporting documentation, and payer requirements organized, and the administrative response drafted for your provider's review and signature.

  8. Every action recorded

Every action recorded in your system, where your team and your auditors can see it.

Medical-benefit authorizations only

PriorDesk handles medical-benefit authorizations: procedures, injections, surgeries, and the imaging your physicians order. Pharmacy prior authorizations are not in our current offer.

Plans start at $1,400 a month
